Last Friday I had the pleasure of attending Uniqlo's new clothing line release party at their 5th avenue and 53rd street store. This clothing line is in collaboration with MoMA and it features really colorful and geometric apparel and accessories. I had to control myself from purchasing every single article of clothing.
Uniqlo was decorated with bright colors and, you guessed it, a lot of shapes that showcased the store's new line of products. They also had museum-like exhibits that featured outfits from the new line. I got to say, I am seeing a lot of intricate patterns paired with bright colors (yellow being the main color) in fashion lately and I absolutely love it!
The event hosted some of the big name influencers in media and had a very special guest DJ, Taryn Manning! If you do not know who she is, Taryn is best known for her role of Tiffany "Pennsatucky" Doggett in Orange Is The New Black. The event also had courtesy drinks, free photo booths, and each guest was given a tote bag with a cool geometric hat from Uniqlo's new collection.
I was so excited for this opportunity and I got to meet and network with really cool people. I am hoping that this is the first of many more fashion/style events to come!
