A brand new event has taken over the runways of Guatemala, Settimana Della Moda! This is a fashion week inspired by the timeless fashion and style of Italy, and it all took place in Guatemala. My team and I put together a complete immersive experience that included: webinars, business and of course... runways! We had speakers from Italy, Guatemala, Miami and Mexico giving their fashion expertise to everyone that signed up for the webinars. Participants also had the opportunity to do business with them and other suppliers. And, we had a fashion film and two runways that were live streamed for everyone at home as well.
One of our greatest accomplishments was creating the fashion film for Nicteel by Owana Lima, this video was filmed at Antigua Guatemala and it turned out into a work of art! See for yourselves:
And now, for my looks for all four days:
Outfit #1: Pitti Uomo
I inspired my first look from the iconic Pitti Uomo style from Italy. I mixed in bright colors from Lanificio Di Livenza and other brands that fit perfectly with the aesthetic I was going for.
Outfit #2: All White
The dress code for one of the runways was "all-white", so it was the perfect opportunity to bring out the linen shirt and my famous gladiator sandals! For this outfit, I opted on using silver and turquoise accessories to give it a more elevated look.
Outfit #3: High Street Style
My outfit for our main runway was inspired by the street style of Milan. Since I was wearing a black jumpsuit, I let my accessories give me the dash of color that made my style pop even more.
Outfit #4: Relaxed
For my final outfit, I wanted a more relaxed fitting suit. The runways and webinars were over, but the trunk show of each designer was still going on. What I like about this outfit is that it allows you to give hugs, which is something I learned about Italians recently - they like their jackets to have enough movement so you can give hugs. As for my accessories - I went minimalistic and let my bag from Nicteel to give me that pop of color I always love.
I truly missed attending fashion events, and my team and I are very proud of what we accomplished. We are excited for next year's Settimana Della Moda! We hope to see you there!
